Ad Technology Council

The IAB Ad Technology Council is a council founded in 2012 that is led by an advisory board consisting of both IAB General Members and Associate Members with significant line of business in the advertising technology space.

Mission and Focus

The mission of the Advertising Technology Council is to develop and foster the adoption of technical guidelines and specifications that will reduce costs, open new marketplace opportunities, and ensure the long-term growth of the digital advertising industry.

This council focuses on understanding the impact of emerging technologies on the digital advertising industry, and provides a forum for surfacing new and potentially disruptive technologies. Some of the areas of focus under which Working Groups and Taskforces are managed include:

  • Data Standards, Quality & Best Practices
  • The Future of the Cookie
  • OpenRTB & Exchange Infrastructure
  • 3MS/Viewable: Implementation & Implications
  • Consumer Experience
  • eBusiness
