Why Do I Want to Talk to Congress?

Political campaigns have been launched that seek government regulation of many of the core processes and technologies that support interactive advertising.

The IAB believes small publishers, whose advertising sales are largely or entirely managed by ad networks, would be disproportionately impacted by this type of regulation. This would affect advertising revenue and potentially diminish the diversity of voices and ideas across the diverse digital commerce landscape.

The IAB feels it’s vital that politicians understand that ad-supported publishers exist everywhere in the U.S., and by coming to Washington with us, you are playing a critical role in conveying the deep economic value and impact of interactive advertising.
