Intel and Toshiba’s social web series, The Beauty Inside, took interactive video to a higher level. With Pereira & O’Dell at the creative helm, the series cast Hollywood celebrities and dozens of consumers to illustrate the life of a computer-carrying character named Alex, who is always the same on the inside, but wakes up every day with a new appearance. Audience members gave Alex more than 75 faces through webcam diaries during the episodes where they acted out some of his most intimate moments and on Facebook. Facebook was the hub of the campaign. It was where each episode was announced and where Alex would interact with viewers through posts, comments, web-diaries, and photos. The moving experience reached viewers from 20 countries and was delivered in eight languages. The Beauty Inside wowed and attracted fans across the globe.
