IAB Committees & Councils: What's Happening

The IAB helps drive the industry forward through the efforts of eleven committees and nine councils in various industry segments. Comprised of some of the brightest minds in their space, these groups work together to develop solutions that improve the interactive advertising and marketing ecosystem.

2015 Activities & Initiatives



  • Programming Educational Events around Digital Audio and the Digital Audio Buyer's Guide
  • Developing a podcast primer
  • Participation in MRC led "Social Media Measurement Guidelines" initiative with 4As and WOMMA


  • Resources for Display Advertising and HTML5:

- HTML5 for Digital Advertising 1.0, a primer for ad creation in HTML5

- Join the Display Creative Guidelines Working Group to help establish HTML5 friendly creative guidelines

  • Supporting the Trustworthy Digital Supply Chain with working groups tackling issues of fraud, malware, piracy, and transparency in the ecosystem
  • QAG 2.0 - Guiding the expansion of this program into a more broadly scoped digital supply chain accountability program
  • Other activities include the development of guidance for onboarding externally initiated specifications and open source projects
  • SafeFrame - Developing additional resources to ease adoption of SafeFrame while continuing to iteratively add features
