IAB's Rothenberg Testifies on Capitol Hill about How Interactive Advertising Fuels Small Business Growth
Randall Rothenberg, President and CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), testified on Wednesday, June 25, as an expert witness about the critical role that Internet advertising plays for small businesses in the U.S. economy during the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee Subcommittee on Regulations, Healthcare and Trade hearing.
Proposals are currently before the United States Congress and several state legislatures that would severely constrain online advertising. "The IAB believes that the proposed regulations would have a disproportionately negative impact on small publishers whose advertising sales are largely or entirely managed by ad networks, and that government must be prudent in ensuring that no regulation is drawn that would curtail interactive advertising's potential to continue to support small business owners," Rothenberg said. Small Publishers Get Benefits of IAB Membership — and Mobilize Against Adverse Regulation

David J. Moore, who has served the IAB Board of Directors since 2001 and on its Executive Committee since 2005, was elected Vice Chair of the IAB Board. He is Chairman and CEO of 24/7 Real Media, Inc.

Internet Advertising Revenues Up 18.2% YOY, $5.8 Billion for Q1 2008
The recently published Internet Advertising Revenue Report, conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, shows Q1 2008 revenues increased 18.2 percent over the same period in 2007, reaching $5.8 billion. This represents the second highest quarter ever recorded, after Q4 2007's $5.9 billion. Read more »
