Full-Year 2010 Internet Ad Revenues in the U.S. Increased 15% to $26 Billion—a New Record


The recently released IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report for the full year 2010 and Q4 2010 shows the best results ever for a year, the second half, and the quarter. Fourth quarter revenues hit a new high at $7.45 billion—the quarter to surpass $7 billion. Buoyed also by a strong Q3, spending in the second half rose to $13.9 billion, an 18% increase over the same period in 2009. For the first time ever, the report estimated mobile advertising revenue in the U.S. and measured it between $550 and $650 million for the year.

The IAB invites small online publishers from across the country to the third annual Long Tail Alliance Fly-In, taking place in Washington, D.C., on Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24. Compliance with IAB Code of Conduct: Deadline August 29


Current IAB members have until August 29, 2011, to be compliant with the IAB Code of Conduct, and new members must come into compliance within three months of joining. The Code of Conduct builds upon the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising, released jointly by the 4A’s, ANA, CBBB, DMA and the IAB in July 2009. The IAB is dedicated to delivering consumers a robust, credible program of notice and choice for online behavioral advertising and to enhancing consumer confidence in online media.

New IAB Study Shows the Majority of Marketers and Agencies Plan to Increase Digital Video Advertising Spend


Released at the IAB Digital Video Marketplace, “An Inside Look at the Demand-Side Perceptions of Digital Video Advertising,” revealed that of the respondents 69% of marketers and 55% of agencies plan to increase their digital video advertising spend, with a 22% growth predicted in the next 12 months.
