A Historic High: Full-Year 2011 Internet Ad Revenues in the U.S. Increased 22% to $31 Billion
We made history in 2011. Interactive advertising exceeded $30 billion in revenues, cementing the medium as central in media and the advertising industry as a whole. Of all categories, mobile experienced the fastest growth, up 149 percent to $1.6 billion from $0.6 billion in 2010. The recent IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report also showed tremendous growth in the fourth quarter with revenues hitting a best-ever $9 billion, marking a 20 percent increase from the same period in 2010.
