IAB Certificate in Interactive Advertising

Since its foundation in 1996, the IAB has been the standards-setting organization for the interactive advertising ecosystem. Now we are announcing a new digital advertising certificate that is the first step in positioning us as the standards-setter for online marketing education. Those professionals who complete this certificate will have demonstrated understanding and familiarity with the fundamentals of online marketing by completing a week’s worth of training with the IAB and our approved training partners.

Requirements for the IAB Interactive Advertising Certificate:

  • 40 Hours of training
    • Live IAB Seminars are typically 3 hours, but some are 2 or 4 hours. See the schedule for details
    • IAB On-Demand Seminars count 3 hours
    • IAB Webinars are 1 hour. No more than 4 webinars can qualify for the Certificate
    • MIXX, IAB Marketplaces, other Conference Events count 4 hours per day. Two days can qualify for the certificate
    • Length of training provided by partners should be clear from their sites, but feel free to contact the IAB in case of questions.
  • 16 or more of these units must be from classes offered by the IAB, as opposed to training partners.

Pricing:

  • The cost of the certificate varies depending on how many classes you take with our training partners
    • $75, or $50 for professionals employed by IAB member companies, if you take less than 16 hours of training from our partners
    • $125, or $75 for employees of IAB member companies, if you take 16 hours or more from training partners
  • Tuition for the required 40 hours of training is not included in the cost of the certificate
