During Monday’s lunch, for the first time, the IAB celebrated leadership in growing the interactive advertising business by honoring two sales organizations that exemplify leadership in sales best practices. The first annual IAB Sales Awards were presented by Jack Myers who gave a brief talk on what constitutes excellence in sales as part of the lunch festivities.
The awards are based on the JackMyers Annual Surveys of Advertising Executives on Online Sales Organization Performance with criteria approved by the IAB Sales Executive Council.
Weather.com received the Long-Tem Excellence Award for their sales organization that consistently achieved a power score in the Top 10 overall rankings across the years of the online survey. Paul Iaffaldano, EVP and General Manager, Weather Channel Media Solutions Group, accepted the award on behalf of the Weather.com sales team.
Broadband Enterprises received the Best Newcomer Award, for an organization that is less than 5 years old and is in the top 15 ranking based on power scores. Matt Wasserlauf, CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the Broadband Enterprises sales team.
