Candidates can be eligible if they meet any of the following criteria:
Option 1: Two years of work experience in digital media sales.
Option 2: One year of work experience in digital media sales plus completion of a continuing education or professional training program of a minimum of 30 hours in digital media*.
Option 3: Completion of 30 hours of continuing education in digital media from a U.S. accredited institution* , plus:
- Two years work experience in traditional media sales; OR
- Five years work experience in general non-media sales.
*Note: 50 minutes equals one hour of continuing education/training
Option 4: Graduate of a degree program in Digital Marketing (or Integrated Marketing Communications, with a significant number of classes in digital marketing) from a U.S. accredited institution, plus one year work experience in general sales or media.
NOTE: Graduates of non-U.S. accredited institutions. Applicants using Option 4 to meet eligibility requirements, and who have not graduated from an accredited degree program in Integrated Marketing/Communications in the United States, must have their transcript from their academic institution reviewed for equivalency. Applicants are responsible for submitting the report indicating equivalency to a U.S. program at the time of application and are responsible for costs associated with transcript review services. During the certification application process, eligible candidates will also be required to submit a signed Code of Ethics that all certified individuals must abide by and uphold.
