International IABs
The IAB will host the IAB Global Summit on Wednesday, September 24 at the Crowne Plaza in New York following the 2008 MIXX Conference & Expo during Advertising Week . Featuring the heads of the international IAB's, this closed meeting will also include the IAB Board of Directors and guest speakers for the first time.
IAB leaders from 17 – 20 countries are expected to attend, including Australia, the United Kingdom and many points in between. In the past, this summit was primarily devoted to internal IAB association business. This year, in response to an increasingly global advertising ecosystem, half of the meeting will focus on high level dialog with prominent speakers on global interactive media and marketing topics. The rest of the day will feature presentations and discussions by the IAB leaders on best and emerging practices in their constituency. A formal agenda will follow.
