The Steering Committee is the main governing body of the Quality Assurance Guidelines Program. Their role is to work with the IAB leadership to oversee the program and its future. To that end the main tasks of the Steering Committee are to:
- Evaluate any QAG related complaints and determine the responsibility and penalty
- Provide guidance and vision for current and future QAG efforts
- Report progress or issues to IAB Executive Committee and Board of Directors
Post the launch of the revised Quality Assurance Guidelines (version 2.0) in July 2013, a new Steering Committee is in the process of being convened. This Steering Committee will lead a process to continue to address some of the industries evolving issues over the coming months. Under the Steering Committee’s leadership a number of working groups are being established to consider issues including piracy, data transparency, non-human traffic and the role of technology in the process.
