Mobile and Social Media Advertising Law: The Black, The White and The Gray
Mobile and Social Media Advertising Law: The Black, The White and The Gray

With more and more consumers accessing content via mobile devices and social media networks, advertisers are increasingly turning to these platforms to reach their target audiences. But in the wake of several recent high-profile incidences involving privacy, data security, geo-tracking, and questionable default settings, many publishers, advertisers and marketers might be confused as to what their current obligations are, as well as what the FTC and Congress might have in store in 2012.

Come join the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Gary Kibel of Davis & Gilbert LLP in a discussion of current obligations, best practices, and potential threats in a quickly expanding mobile and social media marketplace many regulators and advocates have taken to describing as the “wild west” of advertising. Mr. Kibel will also discuss recent developments in children’s privacy, and what industry can do to ensure not only COPPA compliance, but also best practices in emerging platforms.

CLE credit will be available for NY and CA Bar members.
